On April 22nd, scientists and science advocates from around the world will “walk out of the lab and into the streets” to stand up for scientific research and evidence-based policies. The March for Science has already triggered a backlash from folks who claim science is apolitical and a mass march is a “terrible idea.”

But science has always been political.

A molecular biologist by trade, Maryam Zaringhalam will take a look back at how politics has shaped science and share her look into how the scientific community is mobilizing in a post-Truth era.
