NY Salon #45: The Adventure of Bringing Your Ideas to Life

April 4, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Lucille Lam will be sharing the adventure of building out 3 business ideas: The Soft Movement [handmade soft clothes & goods], #luluzlemonade [fresh-squeezed lemonade], and www.ikaiko.com [a global platform to teach & learn language by video chat].

The adventure of bringing your own ideas to market reaches so far beyond revenue, profit, and size. This talk is about the True Birth of Ideas and the many ways to bring your vision to life.

Lucille has built each one of these up from idea to MVP and a strong core team. This channel for creativity, skills development, and unique expression has sparked a lot of purpose and joy in her life & she is happy to share her learnings with you.

The talk has 3 goals: to get you excited about bringing your own ideas (big or small) to life, to give you some new ways to think about gathering resources & measuring your success outside of just venture capital, profit & size, and lastly, to share her adventures building out an MVP and a Team to create an independent small business. She hopes this will offer you some inspiration & tangible advice towards actualizing your visions.

About the Speaker:
Besides being creator of The Soft Movement, #luluzlemonade, and Ikaiko, Lucille is a tech recruiter at Warby Parker who has previously worked as the head of talent at Stride Consulting, admissions manager at General Assembly, marketing at Google+, and director at Translations.com.

About NY Salon:
Our hope is that we can help make the city a smaller place, one discussion, one cup of tea and one debate at a time.
